Road traffic control centres & Dynamic Traffic Exchange
It’s very important for government institutions, knowledge centres and the business community to meet, exchange knowledge and get into dialogue with one another on a regular basis. This kind of contact makes it possible to discuss and consider shared interests and it also helps the different parties to understand each other’s points of view, considerations and efforts. Connected therefore plays an active role in bringing these parties together, especially when issues (threaten to) arise in specific domains. We worked with ‘Netwerk Verkeersmarinier’ to start a dialogue between the suppliers of traffic management centres (including Siemens, Trinite and Vialis) and the buyers of those centres (RWS, Provinces, Municipalities). We did it in the form of a conference: first we mapped out the needs and wishes of the buyers and then we aligned these with the suppliers. Our aim was to promote the cooperation between the government institutions and the suppliers. And we are proud to say that we succeeded in doing so: after the event, the suppliers committed to a cooperation model, it still exits’.
